Manufactured by Sportsheets, The Sex and Mischief Satin Blindfold comes in red and black. For my review, I went with the beautiful shade of red. While I don’t think that this blindfold is going to appeal to those hardcore, advanced BDSM players, it will do fine for beginners. It’s not going to hold up to extremely rough nights, and there may be some issues of keeping it on and in the right place. However, it’s perfectly suitable for those who are interested in trying something new in the bedroom.

HINT: When I first started out with blindfolds like these, I had major problems keeping them on. I parted my hair horizontally in the back, about mid-scalp. I then let it fall over the elastic. It’s a great way to keep the blindfold from riding up in the back and exposing your eyes.

Material, Size & Design

The Sex and Mischief Satin Blindfold is made of polyester. The two bands attached to it are made of thin elastic. From the top to the bottom, the blindfold measures about 3 inches. The blindfold measures a little over 7.5 inches wide. The two elastic strips measure 14 inches across when un-stretched. When I stretched them out to their fullest capacity, they measure at 35 inches.

Cleaning, Maintenance, Packaging & Storage
The Sex and Mischief Satin Blindfold can be hand washed in lukewarm water with a tiny bit of gentle detergent. It can even be ironed at low temperatures. It came packaged in a small paper box with the words “Sex & Mischief” and “S&M” all over it. It also had a picture of a woman wearing the blindfold. I wouldn’t suggest this as suitable storage. It takes up too much space.

My Experience
I was able to see light through it, but everything was red-tinted. Due to the fact that the elastic bands are sewn so closely together at the middle of the side of the blindfold, there’s an extreme pull over your eyes. I wouldn’t recommend opening your eyes with the blindfold on. I could feel the material against my lashes, and it was slightly uncomfortable compared to higher quality blindfolds. This is easily resolved by keeping your eyes closed, but keep in mind that the blindfold does not sit firmly against your face in any areas except for over the eyes.
I pulled out the Sex and Mischief Satin Blindfold the other day and decided to use her as a sleep mask. When I woke up, that thing was choking the life out of me! Unfortunately, I obviously move around too much in my sleep. As a blindfold goes, she’s not the best in the world, and she’s not the first one that I’ll reach for. However, she’s not intimidating in the least, and that can be important if you’re trying to introduce someone to the lifestyle or even to the act of being blindfolded for the first time. So, I’ll keep her in my toy bag and hopefully find a use for her …someday.

Agreeable Agony hits another homerun, this time it’s in the area of sensation play. If you read my review of their rope, you’ll know I’m already a fan of this company.

So here’s the dirty. Agreeable Agony makes these wonderful Finger Claws. These little monsters are on certain level of evil. Sometimes the smallest things are. They are metal “rings” that adjust to fit around any finger size. From tip to base they are about 1 ¾. The end curves over the tip of your finger – just enough to be dangerous, or fun – depending on how you look at it. Agreeable Agony sells them individually at $10 each, but if you purchase 5 (one for each finger) then they’ll toss in a storage ring to put them on.

I like them for jewelry at a munch, especially if I know there’s going to be a play party afterwards. Mine fits perfectly over my ring finger. You can glide it slowly over any body part or you can take the more aggressive approach and dig into the flesh. The Claws leave wonderful marks. They remind me of something between a Wartenburg when and knife play.  They’re really great for marking up your prey for the night.

Antibacterial soap and warm water to clean these but make sure they are dried very well. Feel free to drop them in a small pot of boiling water, too. After all, if you’re using them on another person, you want to make sure they’re really clean.

These Claws bring a good bit of attention. People see you wearing one and they want to know what it is, so be prepared to share some information if you’re brave enough to wear one in public. Not to fear, they usually want to know where they can get one themselves. Feel free to point them this way. My new favorite company –  I can’t wait to see what else Agreeable Agony has going on.

Agreeable Agony. I would have reviewed anything except for toilet seats for a company with a name like that. Lucky for me, they don’t sell toilet seats. They sell rope, hitty things, these claws that are badass, and candles for wax play. God help my ADD, I’m going to try to focus on the rope. Now, I usually use jute. I like it. If you’ve ever used jute, you know it has to be broken in. It’s got some (a lot) of scratch and sting to it. A rope bunny had better be a bit of a lover of pain on your first meeting with jute. I’ve had mine for almost a year and it’s still not completely broken in, and I’ve done suspensions, and more than numerous ties with it.

The first time Agreeable Agony’s rope touched my skin, it was like a fucking beach vacation. It’s so SOFT. It’s been a while since I’ve visited rope space (unless I was tied in it and hanging from something) – but feeling the softness of the strands slither over my flesh as it was being gently pulled through and over itself, wrapping around my body was like heaven. I’m pretty sure I made noises – the good kind.

I can’t talk enough about the colors. Prepare to be knocked on your ass. Vibrant doesn’t do them justice. Not to mention the choices that they have! I’m going to include all of that at the end of the review so I don’t blow your mind.

They have Multi Filament Polypropylene (MFP) and Nylon Bondage Rope. MFP is waterproof and resistant to most oils and lubricants. Unlike dyed ropes, it doesn’t bleed. It’s manufactured with colored fiber so that the color is REALLY vibrant. You can even toss it in the washing machine! Seriously. That’s an amazing feature because of all the fluids that we tend to get on our rope during… play, yeah… play.  They recently began offering a solid braid type of nylon bondage rope, and plan to offer other synthetic ropes in the future. All of their rope meets safety specifications set by The Cordage Institute. If you want more information on Agreeable Agony’s full specifications, you can find them here.

Now I’m no rope expert, and neither is The Husband, but I’ve got a few pictures of some breast bondage that we did with some of Agreeable Agony’s  rope. They sent me four colors and by God, The Husband was determined to use every single one of them. He gets a little excited when it comes to the thought of my tits being tied up, and I LOVE rope marks! I hope y’all enjoy!

Everyone knows by now, I love the shiny stuff! When Sportsheets put out the Sex & Mischief necklace, I wanted it. It’s blingy, silver, and it has the “S&M” initials – which is great for my naughty little self.

The necklace comes in a small, black organza bag. There’s a little, white tag on it that describes the item as “Sex & Mischief Silver Necklace.” The item material is chrome platted copper with a silver color. With this information, I’m fairly positive that the necklace will turn or tarnish after a certain length of wear. It might also bother those who break out if they are only supposed to wear sterling silver.

All of those unfortunate things aside, the necklace is really cute, though. It’s an 18 inch box chain necklace. The adornment is something like I’ve never seen before, and I actually make a little bit of jewelry. It looks as if it’s been made so that you can add additional links or charms to it. Two spring-ring clasps attach the chain to either side of the slide. The box chain then closes with a lobster clasp behind the neck.

All three charms: the S, the ampersand, and the M, have just a bit of wiggle room while on the slide. The charms are each covered in diamond-esque stones. Each charm is about ½ inch long and ½ inch wide. This explains the wiggle room, considering that the slide itself is actually 1 ½ inches long but only ¼ of an inch long. The slide actually curves upwards, ever so gently – one might not even notice it. I barely did, and only with the charms off.

As for maintaining it, I’d wipe it down gently and keep it as dry as possible. The little pouch that it came in is nice for storage or for a gift. Personally, I think it’s adorable, my only concern is how well it’s going to hold up.

I’ve got some pictures to show the size of the charms, and if you’ll look closely, the different types of clasps as well. Of course, there’s a picture of me wearing it.

The Sex and Mischief Feathered Nipple Clamps by Sportsheets are made from a mixture of materials – Feathers, Metals, and Rubber. The feathers are rooster feathers. They measure about 4 ½ inches in length and are black in color. They feel very delicate to the touch. The soft plumes are easy to tease a nipple before a clamp is applied. I’d be wary of getting these wet, as I’m just not sure how they would react to fluids.

The metal is what holds the plumes together and what creates the actual clamp, The metal is nickel-free and seems to be well-made. If you feel the feel to clean the metal, antibacterial soap and water on a warm cloth should do fine, but be very careful so as not to get anything on the feathers. The metal measures 2 ¼ inches.

The rubber pieces that fit over the head and the bottom of the clamps are easy to remove. You can also clean these with antibacterial soap and water. Do so away from the clamps so as not to damage the feathers by accident. These guys are a little over ½ and inch.

The feathers give me a tickled and arousing feeling. While rubbing them up and down my neck, I have to stop to remind myself to squeeze my legs together! It’s completely obvious as to what these clamps are. The feathers may pretty them up a bit, but especially at 7 inches, it’s totally obvious that they are nipple clamps. I really like the design of these. I just wish that the feathers weren’t so fragile when it comes to getting them wet. That’s not to say that the craftsmanship is bad. I gave a few nice tugs on both sets of feathers and neither had any give to them.

The Feathered Nipple Clamps come in a small plastic bag that sits in a larger cardboard box. I wouldn’t necessarily describe the box as discreet, due to the Words “Sex & Mischief” as well as a woman with naked breasts wearing only the nipple clamps all over it. My suggestion? Recycle the cardboard box and find smaller storage for these clamps.

I took my nipple piercing out and tried the clamps with the screw about halfway out. I quickly realized that wasn’t going to do. I untwisted the screw the entire way and, although that helped, It still didn’t give me the bite that I needed. I decided to take off both of the rubber covers and I put the clamp back on. That finally gave me something more on the level of what I was looking for in terms of nipple pain.

Another thing that I noticed was that the tips of the nipple clamps aren’t extremely broad. I like that. That allows them to fit a wider range of nipples.

The Sensua Suede Whip – Ok I’m having trouble calling it a whip – it’s a flogger. The flogger is pretty much for lighter play but if taken to its extremes it can leave quite a good little sting. It’s really well made and I believe it will hold up for quite a while. As for marks, I think if you worked a concentrated area you might get some, but you have to take a lot of things into consideration when you are talking about marks. Some people don’t mark easily, some people do. I don’t. I whipped the hell out of myself on my arm and got nothing. Well, that’s not exactly true. The black suede falls do leave a tiny bit of color behind, but it’s nothing major, and it comes right off with a wipe down   The falls windmill perfectly and, I think this would be a great flogger for those who are just beginning to learn how to top. It can take them from brand spanking – (spanking…I said spanking – get it?) new to more of an intermediate player.

I’ll be honest, when I first opened the box; I was shocked to see how small it was. I was a little let down. I thought it was going to be a huge disappointment, Turns out, I love it. It makes for a great warm-up toy for me. It gives me a good idea how much someone new to bottoming can take and what they like on the toy front.

At half a pound, it’s really easy to control. The weight of the handle is heavier than the 40 suede falls. Part of what gives the flogger so much weight is the plastic handle and metal ball at the top of the flogger. There’s also a thick metal band that runs right above the falls. The black-tinted, plastic handle has the LELO name engraved into it. The handle is a little over 5.5 inches. The falls are about 8.5 inches, making the total length of the flogger about 14 inches.

It’s really comfortable to hold and use, which makes it a good purchase for even the most inexperienced S/M user. Do keep in mind though; this little flogger can leave quite the sting. Depending on how you swing it can be a little thuddy – If you just let the falls drop over the area in question, but I’m really more inclined to leave this little flogger in the stingy category. The suede falls are so thin and each tongue feels like a small sting when used with a strong enough force.

I decided to go with the black, but you can get the Sensua Suede Whip in red and purple as well. It’s best to hang all of your floggers, but unfortunately, LELO decided not to give us anything to hang this one by. I’d suggest laying it flat and out of the sun so that the falls aren’t disturbed. Technically, you can use the handle for insertion, but you really don’t want the suede falls anywhere near bodily fluids. When it comes to the falls, use a good suede cleaner and soap and water for the handle.

My flogger came in a small black box, similar to what other LELO toys have arrived in, except there was a piece of tissue paper in there…to make it more …fancy?

Although this set might catch the eye of your average clamp lover, keep in mind that the fit is not universal. That’s quite unfortunate, as I was hoping to have something new and cooler thank all the other kids in the way of nipple torture.  The Metal Worx Clamps didn’t torture my nipples. They didn’t even fit my nipples. My sad, sad nipples.

This set is covered in polished steel – not made from stainless.  Of course I’d prefer stainless steel over polished, but the craftsmanship feels fairly sturdy.  I pulled and tugged fairly hard on the barbells and nothing gave.  Even the stones seem to be well-fitted into their setting.  Each clamp is hard, unyielding, smooth, and the only texture to speak of is the acrylic stone that’s set into the end of each barbell.  Yes, the bling is pretty, but no—it’s not functional.  The clamps don’t feel heavy.  They weigh about an ounce.  Once you try to put them on it seems as if they become clunky and awkward. They were a complete fail when I tried to use them during a play session with a friend.

These just aren’t easy to use.  You would imagine them to be, but unless the nipple that you’re using them on is the appropriate size, you can’t just pull open the barbells, slide them behind the nipples, and let the magnets clasp tightly together in just the right place.  Nipple clamps are supposed to fit on a certain place on the body—either completely behind the nipple where it connects with the areola or at least partially so—in order to restrict blood flow from the nipples.  That’s the whole point.  These clamps just don’t work like that.  The unyielding, clumsy band actually pushes your areola back and with it goes your nipple.  Not to mention, if you have even the smallest of nipple piercings…forget about it.

This set looks unique, exciting and a little more erotic than your average clamp.  Unfortunately, unlike regular clamps, the Metal Worx set isn’t really optimal for use on other parts of the body due to its thick metal band, which is 1cm wide, 4mm thick and has a diameter of 2.5cm.  The 6mm wide posts are about 2 inches long when they are magnetically stuck together.  They pull apart to leave a space of a little less than half an inch wide for a nipple to set into.  Taking all of that into consideration; any participating nipple has to be at least 8mm long and less than half an inch in diameter to even have a chance.  The thinner the nipple, the stronger the pinch.  Thicker nipples won’t feel much, if anything.

The clamps are discreet in that they don’t look like your average set of clamps.  People might not know what they are at all, but the set will draw enough attention that they might garner a question or two if left in plain sight.  Speaking of questions, the thickness of these clamps can make wearing them under clothing more than obvious.

These are easy enough to clean with just a little soap and water, but dry them well before putting them away.  You can use the box they came in for storage.  One thing that Pipedream does right with their Metal Worx products is their packaging.  The small metal box can house any number of secrets once you easily remove the foam padding on the inside.  I took the stickers off and the only thing that identifies the box is the Metal Worxs logo and the Pipedreams and Metal Worx brand-names.  These could easily be painted over and the box used for any number of things!

I’ll get more use out of the packaging than I will the nipple rings.  That band gets in the way of everything!  This is one of the more atrocious designs I have ever seen.  The clamps simply do not provide the adequate amount of pressure that other types of clamps do.  Keep in mind; I’m not a beginner when it comes to nipple torture.  Before purchasing these clamps, take into consideration the size of your nipples—the longer, the better.  Oh… and take out those piercings!  My nipples are pierced with a small barbell.  I actually had to use the piercing to help get my nipple through the thick metal band.  Combine the tugging with the issue of holding the two magnetic bars open while you try to fit… well, I guess you can say that I DID get a little nipple torture out of these things… just not the way I wanted.  Also keep in mind that nipple sensitivity varies throughout any given month, and what may be acceptable one day may not work the next.  There’s a picture where I had to use my piercing to pull my nipple through the clamp.  You can see that the magnets clamp down JUST behind my piercing and that’s not the correct position. Sorry, maybe next time around.

At our last munch, our local kink group got started talking about bondage tape. I mentioned that I already had a roll of it, and a few ideas got tossed around as to how we could best put it to use.  Since I review mostly for myself I thought I’d pick up another roll.

The roll of bondage tape that I already own is from KinkLab Bondage Tape from J.T.’s Stockroom in black, but this time I decided to go with the Sex and Mischief line, although I’ve never been a big fan of their products.  I reviewed a blindfold from them and you can read about that here.

Alas, they had a shiny red roll that drew my attention, so… money spent.

Let’s compare the two:

KinkLab:

Length – 65 feet ($8.00) =.12 cents a foot

Width – 2 inches

Available in: black, red, and pink

Sex & Mischief:

Price – Usually $7.99 (I got it on sale for $5.99) = .27 cents a foot (when not on sale) .20 cents a foot (when on sale)

Length – 30 feet

Width – 2 inches

Available in: black, red, and pink

On sale or not, Kinklab’s bondage tape works out to be better price-wise.

Just my opinion, given the feel and the wrap of the two tapes, the Sex and Mischief bondage tape has a cheaper feel to it. It doesn’t have the strength to it that KinkLab’s does.

Bondage tape is made from PVC. Its uses are varied and many. I’ve seen bondage tape used as clothing at BDSM play parties, of course, as bondage ties, securing wrists, ankles, etc. Have no fear, this tape doesn’t actually stick to anything but itself. It’s not going to pull hair or skin. It can actually be reused if you’re willing to spend the time re-wrapping. Although bondage tape is a fairly non-intimidating introduction to bondage, always keep a set of safety scissors handy just in case there’s any need to release your bottom immediately. You’ll also want to keep in mind that bondage tape wasn’t designed for suspension and won’t hold weight like rope will. Also, don’t cover the mouth and nose with the tape. Hey, people still need to breathe! :) Take your time with your tape and most importantly… have fun!

Here’s some pictures for you. The KinkLab tape is in black and the Sex and Mischief is in red.
